Beauthorn Holiday Cottages offer two unique, pet friendly, lakeside holiday cottages situated on the edge of Lake Ullswater, Penrith in The Lake District. The cottages are located on a lake side, so you can enjoy private access to the beach & jetty for the time of your stay.
Each holiday cottage sleeps up to 4 people in 2 bedrooms or, if both holiday cottages are rented together, the accomodation can sleep up to 8 people in 4 bedrooms - contact us for details about renting both cottages.

The two holiday properties near Penrith, form part of what was the Beauthorn Estate, set romantically amidst beautiful and inspirational grounds - on the banks of one of Britain’s most picturesque Lakes, Ullswater, where it is believed inspiration for Wordsworth’s poem “Daffodils” was drawn.
The Cottage and Coach House are comfortably appointed in traditional style, with a cosy log burning stove in The Cottage and The Coach House features a balcony with breathtaking views of the Lake and fells across toward The Sharrow Bay Hotel and Hallin Fell.
The grounds of Beauthorn Cottage and The Coach House are mature, secluded and enclosed. They lead steeply down the hillside to the private boathouse, jetty and lake shore beach, where you are welcome to fish and bring along your kayak, canoe or paddle board. The boathouse is reputedly the oldest boathouse on Lake Ullswater!
